Canada-based CKF has rolled out a new packaging design under its Earthcycle portfolio for Serres Sagami’s Savoura Bio organic greenhouse tomatoes.

Available in stores across Quebec, Canada, the new EC 118 flow wrapped packaging is designed to re-brand the tomato products.

Featuring a new logo and color, the new packaging was produced in Hantsport, Nova Scotia.

Made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified virgin and recycled fibre sources, the Earthcycle products can compostable and easily recycled with waste paper.

CKF sales and marketing vice-president Brad Dennis said: “We love working with partners who share our vision to reduce waste and increase the use of recyclable and compostable packaging.

“There is a consistency of message between organic produce and our Earthcycle packaging so it was an easy decision to support Savour Bio’s products.”

Earlier this year, CKF introduced a new bowl design under Earthcycle portfolio, EC 808, for use in tomatoes, berries, cherries, grapes or take out salads packaging.

The new design is intended to meet client’s demand for a larger format compostable bowl that can be top sealed.

CKF manufacturers a wide range of molded pulp and foam food service and packaging products for retail consumers, food service operators and the packaging industry.

The company currently provides disposable paper, foam and plastic food service as well as other packaging products across the US and Canada.
