Amcor Flexibles Camvac, at Thetford, UK, has gained certification under the BRC/IOP Technical Standard and Protocol for Companies Manufacturing and Supplying Food Packaging Materials for Retailer Branded products. Camvac produces vacuum coated barrier and speciality films and laminates for bag-in-box, food packaging and other applications.
The British Retail Consortium standard examines quality management systems in depth to ascertain commitment to food safety control. Amcor’s aims for all its other UK sites to be certified by the end of 2002.
