Italian packaging converter V.E.D. Carta has developed a biodegradable cardboard-based tray for fruit, vegetables, fresh pasta, cheese and pastries. The trays are made from corrugated board, lined inside with Innovia Films’ compostable NatureFlex film.
The addition of the NatureFlex film gives the trays a glossy appearance and increases their resistance to moisture, fats, salts and oils. Both DinCerto and OK-compostable schemes certify NatureFlex NE compostable to EN13432. It is made of wood pulp from managed plantations.
