Old Kent Inns, the first company ever to produce a ‘pub-style’ English ale in a Tetra Pak carton, is celebrating the launch of its Dog & Duck Best, specifically designed for outdoor events, sports venues, picnics and the holiday market.

Described by managing director John Brigden as a “hoppy, golden-coloured 4% real ale”, Dog & Duck Best is being offered in the Tetra Prisma Aseptic 330ml carton to “provide pub-style ale outside the pub environment”.

Brigden says: “Dog & Duck Best in a TPA carton is ideal for football and rugby matches, pop concerts, picnics, beaches or the holidaymaker. The TPA carton is also cost-effective to transport and easily recycled.”

Former brewery owner Brigden says the key is to produce a long-life brew which remains fresh and stable once in the carton.

Dog & Duck Best is being filled by the Waterfront Corporation, Deeside and initially being offered at local Kent off-licences.
