CDP is a global environmental impact non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Ardagh has worked with CDP since 2011.

Based on a rating scale from A to F, Ardagh’s 2018 CDP rating places Ardagh in the “Management” tier, the second-highest rating awarded by CDP. This rating positions Ardagh’s performance above the general average by reporting companies. CDP reviewed close to 7,000 companies as part of their annual Climate Change Questionnaire.

“The improvement in our climate change score and maintenance of our good rating for water underlines Ardagh’s continuous commitment towards environmental issues and management,” said Annelene Ikemann, Ardagh Group CSR & Sustainability Manager. “The submission of the CDP questionnaire is one of our key tasks each year. Our CDP results show that the work and efforts by our team are invaluable, not just for Ardagh but for our customers.”

In 2017, Ardagh set a range of sustainability targets for 2025. Most importantly, a reduction of CO2 emissions by 17 percent across Ardagh and the value chain respectively.
