In fall 2017, A&R Carton has received six prizes for packaging designs and functions.
We are winners at The German Design Award, Scanstar and German Packaging Award and the child-proof packaging Sileo is the big winner of the WorldStar. We are very proud over our achievement, the team and not least our packaging, which you can read more about below.
WorldStar Winner – the child-proof packaging Sileo!
The child-proof packaging developed for Orion Pharmaceuticals and produced by A&R Carton Oy highlights the exceptional knowledge and expertise of the company. One and a half years of development as well as numerous designs and several tests were necessary in order to create this fascinating and completely novel solution, namely a child-proof box made of one single material! Sileo child-proof packaging for gel to alleviate noise anxiety for dogs. This is child proof packaging with good mechanics and functionality solution. The idea of one-piece packaging is clever, simple and elegant the Sileo packaging is made from monomaterial. The functionally, usability and green values are state of the art.

A&R Carton Graz GmbH wins German Packaging Award in the category Packaging presentation for Tenz innovative screws.
The Peek Box is an innovative packaging for a new high-tech screw.
An excellently thought-out packaging design because the screw head serves as a knob to open the sliding fold-up installation packaging. This makes the consumer curious enough to want to interact with and open the packaging. At the same time, the folding box package allows the screw to be rotated without needing to change position. This packaging design emphasises the innovative quality of the product.
This high-quality packaging is impressive as a giveaway at trade fairs with its presentation effect, stability and an additional tactile effect through the embossed company logo.

A&R Carton has been awarded with three prizes at The German Design Award 2018 in the category Excellent Communications Design Packaging:
My.VON ERL Starterpack
To underline the modern simplicity and the high technological quality of the product, an elegant, premium looking packaging was developed. The box needed to contain several components in an orderly fashion, thus a smart insert was a vital part of the structural design. That’s how the book style opening with an integrated extension system was born. To also ensure an easy opening the slipcase is to be opened with a lid-flap using special technics to also make it a solid construction.
Orion Pharma Sileo
The box was created to ensure a safe and recloseable packaging for sensitive medical application for dogs. The box itself provides security as it cannot be opened by children but is resealable. Challenging for manufacturing was the fact that the box is made from one piece with one machine run and can also be packed with one machine run on the packaging line. Further, the packaging does not need any extra additives like stickers yet can be resealed up to ten times while still being child-proof.
