RPC Bebo Nederland and RPC Containers Halstead have jointly launched a pack for ambient wet soups offering “optimum consumer convenience and barrier protection”.
The thermoformed cup and injection-moulded overcap are intended to allow development of new market segments, “generally with higher margins”.
The container is co-extruded and thermoformed in PP/EVOH/PP by RPC Bebo Nederland, with the barrier protection and processing combination giving a shelf life “comparable to traditional packs”. The rounded design delivers sufficient durability to withstand high filling temperatures and is compatible with in-car cup holders.
The recloseable PP lid, injection moulded by RPC Halstead, features a drinking spout, sip hole cover and complementary design with the cup for easy stacking.
