The new Performance Series will allow Progressive Label to print labels 4x faster and support the firm’s growth initiatives in the food-grade safe sector.

Progressive Label Manufacturing owner Dave Carr said: “Not only will the UV LED technology allow us to print food-safe labels, but we will be able to cut down on waste by over 50%.”

Mark Andy said that the machine also offers Progressive Label with the flexibility to print everything from a sophisticated label to film packaging decoration.

Upon installation of the Performance Series press, Progressive Label plans to continue to support their current customers.

Mark Andy said in a statement: “Progressive takes pride in their safety and compliance advancements, quality control, and customer service.

“They are Nestle and Swiss compliant with their low migration inks, pushing themselves ahead of their competitors. Progressive Label Manufacturing also invested in modern Pharmaceutical Grade Quality Control technology.”

The investment in the new press is a part of the firm’s effort to expand its factory and continue to strengthen environmentally-friendly label manufacturing capability.

Designed to offer limited operator steps for job setup, the P5 press can be used for production of range of products which include bottle wraps, film, film – unsupported, film labels, general label, light carton, paper labels, primary pressure sensitive labels, secondary labels, shrink sleeve, specialty, and wine labels.

In May this year, label and tag manufacturer Continental Datalabel purchased and commissioned three Mark Andy Performance Series P5 presses, to support its growing production volumes in the US.

Operating three manufacturing facilities in Texas, California and Illinois in the US, the firm is engaged in production of labels for many different industries, mainly manufacturing & distribution.

Each of the presses, which are configured identical at each plant, feature Mark Andy’s Quick Change Die Cut (QCDC) finishing technology, a cold foil unit, and smart blade system, is designed to achieve higher print quality at faster speeds.
