Photoinitiators meet demands for low migration and odour

Odour and the migration of mobile components are concerns in food packaging. With widely used UV/EB-curing inks and coatings, photoinitiators with low-molecular weight have a tendency to migrate through the substrate or via reverse-side migration (set off). RAHN has introduced its GENOPOL* product range of polymeric, high-molecular weight photoinitiators with favourable toxicology to calm these concerns.
