Punching Tool

Unlimited individuality

Consequently, the range of application for BERHALTER punching systems knows no bounds – systems that allow both intricate lid and label geometries as well as a wide range of different materials to be optimally processed and punched to perfection.

BERHALTER high-precision die-cutting systems are tailored precisely to the production requirements of our customers. At the same time, our flexible modular system permits individual adjustments at any time to existing and new production concepts.

Using the BERHALTER punching system, it is possible to realise every marketing solution without having to impose restrictions in terms of material and design of the packaging.

Berhalters sets RFID as a standard

Efficient and secure punching process

Automatic tool identification by RFID – The RFID system specially developed for BERHALTER consists of perfectly coordinated individual components. The radio and data chips (tags) are integrated into the punching tools, where they are read and evaluated by the communication module of the die-cutting machine. Each new punching tool is equipped with an RFID tag.

Every such tag is identified with a unique identification number, allowing it to clearly assign every punching tool and automatically retrieve the corresponding tool parameters from the database.

RFID technology increases production reliability thanks to the contactless data transmission and, as a result, ensures greater efficiency when changing over to different punching tools and lid formats, which saves in turn both time and money.

In addition, the control system of a networked tool data management also provides the opportunity of administering the punching tool data of a number of die-cutting machines via one central data server and can even automatically trigger corresponding messages, such as a resharpening service.
