Accordingly, the product range is designed to meet the pharmaceutical packaging standards.
Due to its high performance characteristics, this adhesive is recommended for applications with high migration risk such as LDPE containers that have been filled with fluids. This clear, permanent adhesive features good adhesion to a range of substrates including glass, PE and PP, and also delivers good mandrel performance on these surfaces. It has excellent UV resistance and weatherability. Fasson® S692NP is suitable for sterilisation by autoclaving, ETO or gamma radiation.
Good adhesion to small diameter curved surfaces, or mandrel power, is the result of a combination of label material stiffness and the cohesive strength (internal bond) of the adhesive. For small diameter containers that are in common use today, and products such as test tubes, high mandrel power is a prerequisite that Fasson® S2000NP is able to deliver.
Fasson® S2000NP is also suitable for sterilisation by autoclaving, ETO or gamma radiation. If the surface diameter is less than 25mm, special face materials are required, such as lightweight papers with lower levels of stiffness. Alternatively, film materials may also be used. Additional points for consideration include heavy ink coverage and overlamination of paper labels. While these options may offer image protection, they can also seriously affect label stiffness and therefore should be avoided whenever possible.
