New Bekaert Solaronics emitter maximises efficiency

Bekaert Solaronics has announced the introduction of a new electrical infrared emitter to the market. Commenting, David Jobson, Director of UK agent Jarshire Limited, said "This latest example of the company’s innovation and product development will allow existing users of M2000 emitters to decrease energy consumption by 10% whilst maintaining the same drying performance".

Uptake has been quick with two electrical infrared drying systems equipped with the new module already supplied to a major speciality paper group. The objective of this installation is the efficient drying and curing of the sheet after the size press operating at different line speeds and giving lower operating costs.

Designated the eM24, the module features outstanding heat resistance and service life thanks to the implementation of a new thermal resistant ceramic reflector, together with infrared lamps that have the longest lifetime on the market. This new operating principle gives far more efficient cooling thereby improving significantly the energy efficiency of the electrical infrared module.

Founded in 1967, Bekaert Solaronics has already supplied more than 1000 customised drying and heating systems based on gas and electric infrared technology to a wide range of industries. Maintenance services and upgrades, including improving energy efficiency of existing systems, is carried out in the UK by Jarshire Ltd.
