Mayr-Melnhof Packaging awarded ProCarton/ECMA Award – “Carton of the Year 2011”

ABT Sportsline GmbH, a company known for its high-quality technical and innovative customer solutions in the car-tuning sector selected MMP Schausberger, Austria, as partner to develop a new gift packaging for its premium customers. The objective was to re-interpret the previous design and implement an innovative solution.

Following the credo of ABT Sportsline – "For more driving fun you can feel" MMP Schausberger developed a product that impressed by its clarity and high-quality realisation. The folding carton in the shape of a sports exhaust pipe, the stamped grid at the curved front panel as well as the hot foil embossing on the deep-black cartonboard vividly illustrates the high-quality character of the product.

In a most impressive manner MM Packaging demonstrates the versatility and power of innovation which are intrinsic to cartonboard has as packaging material. The ABT hollow frame carton – "Carton of the Year 2011" – is a prime example for creative solutions made
of cartonboard, a material that is convincing with its sustainability, recycling-friendliness and generally low environmental footprint.
