Partnering to make baby food pouches recyclable

Pouch5® is a 100% monomaterial doypack option designed to be easily recycled in the PP stream, certified by independent institutes HTP_Cyclos and Interseroh Dienstleistungs GmbH. Compliant with both EU and FDA food regulations, Pouch5® is available in two versions: for hot-filled and pasteurised shelf-stable products, and for cold filling/dairy applications. Its high oxygen and water vapour barrier guarantee product protection equivalent to conventional pouches. Since its launch in 2020, leading baby food and snack manufacturers in the United States, France, Germany and Finland have already chosen Pouch5® for their eco-friendly, flexible packaging, making it the first global-scale recyclable pouch.

For Plasmon’s 100% fruit purées, Pouch5® will be paired with the  BabyCap®, which has become a world-class icon for baby food spouted pouches. Designed according to international anti-choking standards, BabyCap® features a 33-mm diameter cap, as well as holes that allow breathing in the unlikely case of ingestion.
