Yamato Scale Dataweigh is joining Hayssen Flexible Systems, an automatic packaging machinery manufacturer, for its in-house packaging event in June.

The event will be held at Hayssen’s manufacturing facility in Nottingham, England  between 12 June and 16 June 2017.

It will be opened for all types of food packaging machine in operations for a range of applications in several food industry sectors including snack and confectionary.

At the event, Yamato will demonstrate its Alpha Advance multihead weigher along with Hayssen’s new Verus VFFS bagger.

Yamato’s Alpha series of automatic multihead weighers offer different levels of high-speed weighing of up to 75 weighments per minute (WPM) by the 10-head model and 140 wpm by the 14-head model. High frequency load cells shorten the settle time of the weighing cycle to enable high-speed weighing.

Yamato’s auto feeder control system is claimed to have high rate of feeding. This feeder amplitude allows the weigher to handle sticky or fragile products. The modular actuator units are fully covered by stainless steel plate for high sanitation.

Heyssen’s Verus has been designed for flexible and high speed packaging, producing high quality stand-up pouches at a rate of 180 bags per minute (BPM).

Hayssen will also showcase its Novus Doy system in combination with the Yamato’s I-Series checkweigher at the end of a line. The Novus Doy can baggage up to 80 bags per minute.

The Novus Doy bagger can produce about 80 bags per minute and the high-speed and modular rapid tool-less changeover can combine to produce quality stand-up pouches.

The features include Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC with Kinetix 6000 Servo Drive System and stainless steel construction with stainless steel product contact surfaces.

Yamato’s I-Series checkweigher is capable of handling pack weight ranging from 600g to 6kg, at operational speeds of 130 and 480 packs per minute with accuracy range of +/- 0.15 g to 0.5 g depending on the model. All I-Series checkweighers are IP67 compliant, which makes them ideal for food applications.

Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK commercial operations manager Andrea Spencer said:  “We are delighted to joining Hayssen for its imPacked 2017 event. It’s the biggest in-house demonstration event in the UK and it is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our weighing solutions in combination with leading bagging machines.

“We are looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers and showing them how Yamato’s multihead weighers and checkweighers work together in lines with high-quality bagging machines.”
