UK based ink jet technology specialist Xaar has opened a an office in the USA, and appointed its first licensee in the country.
The new office will serve as the company’s permanent headquarters for its US operations, housing sales and technical support staff, conference facilities and a customer support centre equipped with printing systems for demonstration and a laboratory for testing.
The licence agreement with an undisclosed US corporation covers a limited number of Xaar patents focussed on industrial printing applications. “It extends the opportunities for our technology to become more widely used in the important US market,” noted Jan Fineman, chief executive of Xaar.
