Roller supplier Westland-Gummiwerke has become a member of PrintCity, the strategic alliance of more than 40 suppliers to the graphic arts industry, at drupa 2004. At drupa, where PrintCity will be situated in Hall 6, Westland will take a significant role in PrintCity’s Web Systems and Sheet-fed Activity Groups, but will also maintain an independent presence.
“We are contributing to a best-in-class solution,” says company president, Georg zur Nedden. “Our work with PrintCity’s Sheet-fed Activity Group on UV printing will bring a new approach to new opportunities in printing. The UV market is a growing niche market, and it is important that more suitable systems that deliver better quality results are developed. Our contribution is to ensure that the roller coverings match the media, inks and fount solutions.”
