Packaging solutions manufacturer WeighPack has unveiled its latest form, fill and seal machine for high-speed applications, dubbed the VF 1200 continuous motion bagger.
The new bagger can produce up to 150 bags of various sizes, up to 16 inches in length, per minute. The device can create a wide range of package sizes and handle multiple package formats.
According to the firm, it is suitable for both retail and club-size packaging for industries such as frozen foods and baked goods as well as snack foods and confectionery.
The bagger machine, made of stainless steel, has continuous-moving vertical sealing bars, so the film does not need to stop to obtain its vertical seal.
WeighPack explained that this feature offers an advantage over vertical form, fill, and seal machines with seal bars that only open and close in full sequence, affecting production speeds.
Designed with an open-frame design for easy operator access, the continuous motion bagger has Omron motion controller and servos, a 15-inch colour touchscreen, and a toolless removable vertical seal bar.
The features list also includes horizontal jaws, and forming shoulder, vacuum pull belts, second film roll support, and a film splice table.
WeighPack said that multiple options such as full sanitary washdown, bag gusset attachment, integrated printer and hole punch are available.
The packaging machine maker can also tailor a turnkey solution to fulfil different weighing, filling and bagging requirements.
The firm’s multi-head weighers, linear net weighers and bagging machines are used across many industries along with a range of labelling machines and end of line solutions.
