Vanguard Packaging has invested in a HP Scitex 15500 corrugated press as part of its efforts to expand the digital printing capacity.

The company installed Scitex digital press at its underground facility in Kansas City of Missouri.

Vanguard utilizes the facility located in SubTropolis industrial park to provide printing services for short and medium run orders.

HP Scitex 15500 press will help Vanguard to complete orders in a short time, helping to deliver the orders quickly to the retailers, CPGs and creative agencies.

The corrugated press features high dynamic range (HDR) printing technology, which enables to offer precision control over color and tone for clarity of image detail.

HDR is mostly suitable for impact graphics in packaging applications.

The company is also planning to invest in the upcoming HP PageWide C500, which is a single and direct-to-board press.

Vanguard Packaging CEO Mark Mathes said: “This investment in HP digital is another step in the evolutionary chain. There are two types of companies out there: those that are already in digital and those that will need to be in digital.  Vanguard Packaging plans to remain on the leading edge of digital printing.”

Vanguard sales director Justin Mathes said: “From a production standpoint, the Vanguard facility is running more efficiently with the HP Scitex 15500, improving the bottom line significantly.”

Vanguard Packaging provides point-of-purchase displays, signage, retail packaging, and corrugated box products to the customers.

The company has design, sales and project management offices in St. Louis of Missouri and Bentonville of Arkansas.
