Valpak is to dramatically boost its PRN access following a landmark agreement with the UK’s largest waste management firm Sita.
The five year contract will give Valpak exclusive access to PRNs generated from Sita’s existing recycling and Energy from Waste facilities, as well as pump PRN revenue into further recycling capacity.
Consignia (the Post Office) will receive £1M to fund recycling at 2000 sites nation-wide, sourcing 10-15 000 tonnes of mixed packaging waste. Material Recovery Facilities in Dorset and Surrey also stand to gain a total of £4M.
