Finnish company Valmet has secured an order to provide IQ Scanners and IQ Dilution Profiler to China-based Xinxiang Xinya Paper.

Valmet IQ Scanners and Valmet IQ Dilution Profiler will be installed on Xinxiang’s paper machine PM2 to boost production runnability and end-product quality.

The delivery of the new products is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter this year.

Xinya Paper Group general engineer Baoshi Qin said: “Valmet has advanced and innovative technology, and their service is very professional. Cooperation with Valmet has been a very nice experience.

“We have full confidence in Valmet’s technology and the solution offered. We believe that this is a reliable and smart choice for us.”

The scope of the delivery consists of Valmet IQ Quality Control System with scanner and related measurements and controls.

The new machine, which is available with more precise data and new control technology, can be efficiently controlled to enhance machine performance and end-product quality.

Valmet IQ Dilution Profiler is a profile control system designed for better positioning of the headbox valves.

The company has specifically designed the system to deliver the best possible weight profile with a headbox.

Valmet China automation leader Richard Sui said: “We are pleased to provide Valmet IQ quality management solutions to our customer. With our combination of process know-how and service, we will support Xinya Paper to develop their automation level.”

Based in Henan Province, Xinxiang Xinya Paper conducts pulp and papermaking business with an annual papermaking capacity of 800,000 tonnes and total assets of €478m.

In June this year, Valmet received an order to provide two new OptiConcept M containerboard making lines to China-based Zhejiang Shanying Paper.
