Located in Shropshire, Harper Adams University was established in 1901 and is a specialist provider of higher education for the agricultural and rural sector. Delivering degree programmes appropriate to the food industry means covering all aspects, including packaging. Recent sponsorship from the Worshipful Company of Butchers allowed the university to purchase a Mimaki UJF-3042FX from CMYUK.

The printer was needed in order to teach undergraduates about packaging design. With limited budget and space, the Mimaki UJF-3042FX ticked all of the boxes. It was installed within a photography suite and positioned at desktop level to enable effective teaching and easy access.

“CMYUK were brilliant right from the start” says Lucy Catley of Harper Adams University, “From support with the purchase through to installation and ongoing technical support. We had no experience in this area so relied completely on the knowledge and expertise of the CMYUK team. We were provided with specialist training on how to operate the printer as well as supporting software. This was provided twice – once for the staff and once for students. They have even offered repeat training sessions if needed at any point.”
