Greiner Packaging business unit Kavo has produced an unusual 0.7l "bottle within a bottle" for German distillery Krugmann.
One-step blowmoulded at Kavo’s Wartberg plant in Austria, the “Cool Bottle”is claimed to be Germany and Austria’s first 0.7l PET spirits bottle.
The combination of two bottles provides additional space for creative labelling while, according to Kavo, the “air cushion” between them results in a “natural thermo-regulating effect” which keeps the contents cool longer. Kavo is still evaluating the degree of cooling provided.
Krugmann was founded in 1867 as a corn distiller, an activity which has remained its core business ever since.
