MM Graphia’s new subsidiary MM Graphia Turkey is to set up a cigarette packaging plant in the Izmir region. Initially, it is planned that two folding carton printing lines will commence operation by the end of 2004. Total investment is estimated at approximately €10M.
MM Graphia is a leading European packaging producer for cigarettes and confectionery. Its sister organization MM Packaging is said to be Europe’s largest manufacturer of folding cartons. Both are divisions of Mayr-Melnhof Group, worldwide producer of recycled fibre based cartonboard.
