The company has installed ILS’ labelling equipment at its facility in Leicestershire to improve productivity in the packing operation.

TruNet (UK) has equipped T43 Blow Vac applicator with integrated conveyor for labelling shrink-wrapped rolls at its Ashby-de-la-Zouch facility.

Ashby-de-la-Zouch facility is also be used for the manufacturing of trussing loops, elastic and non-elastic twines used in food service and butchers.

ILS has license to exclusively distribute Evolabel’s print and apply labelling systems in the UK and Ireland.

Meat netting is an efficient alternative to tying up joints of beef, pork, chicken, ham and turkey, offering better eye appeal following cooking.

Meat packaging requires labels with enhanced print qualities to ensure information clearly visible to the customers, as it will be stored for long periods of time.

The T43 Blow Vac is a contact free, safe and easy to operate and accurate system, which produces labels with better readability of barcodes even after long storage periods.

The system’s advanced applicator plate with integrated vacuum injectors and blow nozzle enables high-precision labelling with no mechanical moving parts at distances of up to 200mm.

The T43 Blow Vac system installed at TruNet (UK) facility is currently labelling 30 rolls of meat netting per minute, enabling to reduce power consumption and increase productivity.

TruNet (UK)’s factory manager Darren Pritchard said: “The exceptional print quality of the labels and reliability of the equipment are two of the stand-out features of the T43.

“We have a good relationship with ILS and I would certainly be open to tapping into their labelling expertise again. Would I recommend equipment from ILS to others? Yes, I would.”

Based in Manchester, ILS supplies a range of automatic print and apply labellers, automated pallet labelling systems, outer case and  tray labellers, labels, ink, ribbon, large character inkjet marking and inline barcode inspection/validation systems to the food and drinks, construction, logistics and warehousing, and household good sectors.
