Trelleborg says that its printing solutions division has concluded a major investment program aimed at expanding its flexo sleeve capacity in France.

The Sweden-based global engineering group focused on polymer technology will also demonstrate its Sava offset blanket solutions and its Vulcan, Printec and Rollin offerings at the label and package printing technology fair.

In this regard, Trelleborg says that it will deploy a team of flexo sleeve and offset blanket technical experts from its printing solutions division on the Savatech booth.

Axcyl Sales and Application Manager Damien Leterrier said: “There are a number of exciting developments taking place at Trelleborg, many of which are relevant to label printers.

“This is a very important market for us and we put a great deal of our research and development efforts into creating solutions that enable label printers to achieve higher levels of productivity, and therefore profit, from their presses.

Since 2016, Savatech, has been part of the Swedish engineering group following the latter’s SEK10.9bn ($1.37bn) acquisition of Czech-based CGS Holding.

According to Trelleborg, its carbon fiber bridge sleeves are unique as they deliver a matchless combination of rigidity, lightness and stability. On the other hand, the Swedish firm claims that its offset blanket brands are known across the globe for quality and durability.

Trelleborg’s specific blanket solutions have been developed for a broad range of applications, from conventional UV to the latest low-energy UV printing. The specific blanket solutions have also been developed for use of high-density pigment inks and low migration inks to FM screening.

Trelleborg Printing Solutions president Paolo Gagliardi said: “The technology incorporated into a modern printing press is highly sophisticated and the consumables used have to match this level of science if the printer is to achieve the press’s full potential.

“This means that consumable suppliers also have to be true partners, providing expert advice in choosing the most effective solution for that printer’s particular conditions and how to integrate that solution on the press. “
