Based in New Delhi, Svam Packaging is specialized in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical packaging materials for customers in India.

Toyo has invested in the Indian business to further increase revenues of its processed products business and train the human resources required to promote globalization of processed products business and global business.

Toyo is also planning to use Svam Packaging Industries as a production base for global expansion of its development technologies and products.

Svam Packaging was established in 1998 to meet the packaging requirements of the Indian pharmaceutical industry.

Svam produces Alublis cold form laminates, which provide high-barrier protection against moisture, oxygen and light.

The firm’s cold form blisters are made by using aluminum that serves as a complete barrier for water and oxygen, helping to extend product expiry date.

With long term de-lamination resistance, Alublis can also be reverse or surface colored/printed to be used as anti-counterfeiting options, as well as in branding of products.

Svam also produces CR foil that offers blister packs with required child resistance, while maintaining user friendliness for adults.

It is sealable to coldformed and thermoformed blister material with PVC as sealing layer, and offers high degree of protection for each individual dose.

The CR foil’s other benefits s include patient compliance, hygienic storing, safe against manipulation, only one dose can be removed per opening, no tooling modification required for select push-through structures and serves as barrier to humidity, oxygen and UV rays.

Svam also manufactures aluminium blister foil with various coatings for better sealing with PVC or PVdC films.

The aluminium blister foil’s thickness ranges from 20μ to 30μ, and is suitable for pharma primary packaging applications.

In addition, Svam produces tropical blister laminate layer that serves as resistant barrier to moisture, light, oxygen and other gases. It also acts as protective barrier enhancement to extend product’s shelf life.

The layer will be added as a secondary base to avoid direct contact with the product.
