Corrugated manufacturer David S Smith, has installed Maxxscore scorer/creaser tooling from GTS (Europe) on Martin 924 and 718 machines at its Launceston, UK, plant to improve fold quality of the finished cases.
Production manager Tony Luxton reports: “The Maxxscore tools have made the biggest improvement on our Martin 924, which uses the old type of folding rails and was producing rolled scores and poor folds. On our Martin 718, the original quality was higher, but it has still made significant improvements to overall performance.”
Maxxscore can be retrofitted in-house to any FFG or printer slotter on the market.
