Processing and packaging solutions provider tna has secured orders worth more than €7m in seven days during the interpack trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.

tna showcased its capabilities in three separate locations, which the company says has created interest in its food processing and packaging solutions.

tna also showcased ropac 5, an ultra-high performance case packer for flexible bags.

At interpack, tna showcased its products which included the NID M3000 starch mogul, tna intelli-flav OMS 5 system for gummy polishing and the high-speed tna robagFX 3ci packaging system.

The company claims to have showcased some of the advanced food processing and packaging technology for the snacks, processing, nuts, legumes and other fresh and frozen industries. It also includes a very fast case packer for flexible bags.

tna’s hall was visited by as many as 500 visitors, making it a success, the company stated.

tna chief marketing officer Shayne De la Force said: “This year’s interpack was a huge success for us. We’ve been attending the show for over 30 years now, but the interest in our solutions this year was extraordinary.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the sale of our NID mogul on the last day of the show. The entire team did an amazing job, and I’m sure we’ll see even more orders coming through over the next few months as a result of interpack.”

During the unveiling of tna ropac 5 at interpack, the company stated that the machine is capable of packing over 300 bags per minute. The machine can achieve this speed as it is claimed to be the first and only side load case packer in the world, using semi-rotary bag stacking technology to pack small to medium, pillow-style snack bags into secondary containers.

Speaking about the new machine, tna group general manager Michael Green said: “The snacks market is booming and food manufacturers need equipment that is able to deliver the speeds and efficiencies they need to respond to the ever-increasing demand for packaged snacks.

“With speeds of up to 300 bags per minute, our new case packer has the potential to double food manufacturers throughput overnight, completely redefining industry standards.

"When combined with our complete portfolio of high performance turnkey solutions, this means that snack manufacturers can source all their production line equipment from a single supplier, from pre-processing equipment at the start of the line all the way to case packing solutions for the end of the line.”
