Tetra Pak has introduced new modular portfolio of heating systems, dubbed Intelligent Customisation, which serve as processing solutions for food and beverage manufacturers.

Based on firm’s technologies in dairy, beverages and prepared food processing, the new modules can be combined in multiple configurations, helping to customize each heating solution to meet the specific needs of individual customer.

The company has completed testing of the new modular solutions with customers in Europe and Russia.

The solutions provide flexibility for customers to upgrade them for use in different applications ranging from milk and cream to beverages with particles or baby food purée to a wider range of prepared food products.

Tetra Pak liquid food business vice president Ola Elmqvist said: “With our new modular portfolio we are working with the customer in a completely collaborative way.

“This is crucial since every customer has increasingly different challenges and priorities, that often change over time.”

In November, Tetra Pak launched a new package that will enable dairy and juice drinks to be produced and distributed in small carton pouches at room temperature.

They can also be turned into frozen products in shops or in a consumer’s home.

The new pack, Tetra Fino Aseptic 100 Ultra MiM, offers an opportunity for customers to manufacture liquid dairy and juice drinks using their current production processes, and market them as ice creams and frozen products.

Tetra Pak provides packaging equipment for liquid food products, as well as a range of processing and packaging technologies for use with a broad array of products from ice cream and cheese to fruit, vegetables and pet food.
