Tension Packaging & Automation, a business unit of Tension Corporation, has acquired Colorado Automation & Design (CAD) for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2005, CAD has expertise in offering automation services, including concept, design, manufacturing and installation.
The company is said to work with pharmacy and e-commerce customers, as well as other industries ranging from food packaging to solar, wind and custom assembly automation.
CAD, a Level 2 FANUC authorised system integrator for robotics and an Allen-Bradley authorised integrator, has a UL508A Certified electrical panel shop and an in-house machine shop for better parts control.
Tension Packaging & Automation division director Ken Myers said: “I have had the privilege of working with CAD as a trusted partner since 2009.
“CAD shares Tension’s commitment to high standards, quality products and our customers.”
Tension stated that the acquisition of CAD reflects the growing demand in its core markets of e-commerce and pharmacy automation.
