A double-sided adhesive tape has been developed by Tesa that is said to combine sealing and tear strip opening functions to offer faster packaging speeds and extends the use of cartons for traditional mailing houses and e-commerce business.
Named Tesa Combitape, the strong PET backed tape should provide a high performance closure that is easy to open and allows packaging to be re-used, particularly useful for mail order where packages are frequently returned.
Combitape is 23mm wide and will fit standard long roll tape dispensers. It is supplied in spools for in-line lamination on the corrugator at speeds up to 260m/min.
