Sun European Partners’ subsidiary has completed the acquisition of Allied Glass for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Leeds, UK, Allied Glass manufactures glass packaging containers for premium spirits and food & drinks markets.

Allied Glass has two manufacturing facilities and a dedicated decoration centre in Yorkshire. The company focuses on both short and medium production run segment of the market, where flexibility, collaborative approach to innovation and high technical standards are valued.

Allied Glass reported 13% in sales growth in three years

Allied Glass is claimed to be benefitting from the market trend for premiumisation, sustainability and increased SKU/container size proliferation.

During the last three years, the company is touted to have doubled its customer base which includes craft manufacturers to larger organisations in the industry, delivering 13% sales growth.

Sun European Partners is a US-based equity firm investing in manufacturing and packaging sectors.

In addition to owning subsidiaries that own Albéa and Coveris, two global leaders in the packaging industry, the subsidiaries of the company have completed over 50 acquisitions in this sector.

In October 2019, Sun European Partners agreed to acquire Vetrerie Riunite (VR), an Italian producer of technical glass and refractory rollers.
