The European Label Summit, taking place in Prague, on October 12-13, 2004, will discuss the effect the enlargement of the EU will have on the labels industry, and many other issues. Companies that have already signed up for the event include Avery Dennison, Creo, HP and Martin Automatic.

HP Indigo’s Christian Menegon comments: “The European Label Summit is a perfect complementary event to the Labelexpos. It opens the way to, and for, our Eastern European label converter friends to become more internationally active players in this time of globalization. We see the conference as an opportunity to reinforce communication channels, and a platform for new business.”

Craig Thomson, of Martin Automatic, adds: “We are keen to develop our business in Eastern Europe and the summit presents us with an excellent opportunity to do this.”

Labelexpo managing director Roger Pellow attests: “The European Label Summit is going to be a real opportunity for Eastern European printers to learn about national and international labelling standards, global branding issues, advances in label materials, prepress and production technology, as well as the latest requirements for logistics and distribution labelling.”
