Latest in the Signode vertical strapping machine stable is the MD-3000-VRB, designed for diverse packaging applications.
Allowing a choice between PP or Tenax polyester strapping in 9, 11 or 13mm widths means the machine can be used in applications from cartons to timber bundles. Its low profile bayonet design also makes it suitable for strapping low pallets.
The PLC controlled model includes a patented Suregrip tension winder that allows strap tensions from 100-2000 Newtons to be selected, with a repeat accuracy of 3%.
It incorporates clutch-free technology and multi-motor concept, as well as Signode’s MD strapping head which is said to reduce maintenance needs.
