SCA has installed an Esko-Graphics Kongsberg XL 24 sample table at its plant in Hartlepool, UK.
“We wanted to improve the throughput in the design department to give us more time at the development stage,” explains Chris Chilton, regional design manager, North East. “The new table, which is bigger than its predecessor, has enabled us to improve productivity because we can nest more designs together. It’s faster and cheaper to operate because the blades are less expensive to replace.”
According to Esko-Graphics, the XL tables are at least 25 per cent more productive than the Kongsberg Premium-line series, due to a high powered servo system and twin-drive beam.
