Retail-store firm Spar has revamped the packaging of its juice range as part of its efforts to provide a new look for the products.

The new packaging is said to provide the juice range of Spar will demonstrate the provenance of its concentrated juices.

The juice range is available in six flavors, including apple, orange, cranberry, apple and raspberry, cranberry and raspberry and tropical flavors. The products are price-marked at two for £2.

Spar UK senior brand manager Joanne Cramer said: “Spar Brand’s fresh juices are a key component of shoppers’ everyday essentials. We are delighted to be able to offer customers great value for money on a quality, everyday product with a new lower price.

“This packaging revamp will bring our juice offering up-to-date and highlight the great quality our brand products offer.”

In July this year, Spar Ireland announced the introduction of new compostable coffee cups as part of its efforts to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable solutions.

BWG Group, owners and operators of Spar brand in Ireland, has collaborated with its exclusive premium coffee partners Insomnia Bewley’s and Seattle’s Best Coffee to introduce compostable and fully biodegradable coffee cups in all Spar and Eurospar supermarkets.

The decision will help the retailer to eliminate 19 million coffee cups entering landfill each year.

In May this year, Spar Austria introduced reusable bags for fruit and vegetables, in a bid to reduce the use of plastic bags.

The retail chain, through its hypermarket division Interspar, has launched new polyester net bags with a drawstring for loose fruit.

Serving as an alternative to plastic bags, the new reusable bags are said to be washable and environmentally friendly.

Spar is an international group of independently owned and operated retailers and wholesalers who work together in partnership under the Spar brand.

The food retail chain has more than 12,500 stores in 44 countries on four continents. Spar, Spar Express, Eurospar and Interspar are different types of formats for different customers in the world.
