Silgan Dispensing, a supplier of highly engineered triggers, pumps, sprayers and dispensing closure solutions, has introduced a new closure, dubbed MeaSURE, with a built-in chamber.
The company said the chamber will provide easy and controlled dosing with the use of one hand.
MeaSURE, designed with e-commerce and sustainability in mind, dispenses the precise amount needed for the intended application and reloads within seconds when it is inverted.
The new closure is expected to help consumers obtain a solution that eliminates the mess and the hassle of measuring cups in an easy-to-use, compact dispenser.
Silgan Dispensing category development senior manager Lee Luo said: “MeaSURE delivers on several key needs for our customers, including the need for omnichannel solutions, consumer-driven innovation and sustainability.
“The continued rise in online shopping, the need for an improved dispensing experience, and the increase in usage of concentrates among consumers have all led to the creation of MeaSURE. The smart design of this closure addresses all of those factors at once.”
MeaSURE adheres to Amazon’s ISTA-6A standard, presenting no signs of damage or leaking during the severe testing process.
The closure is said to be suitable for concentrated formulas, which use less packaging and save raw materials and shipping costs.
It is ideal for laundry, automotive, lawn & garden, cleaning and personal care applications, said the company.
In June this year, the company announced its plans to roll out several new fine mist and pump solutions.
The solutions include Mark VII Max Blossom, Sinfonia Crème Elegance, SP22 SR, and Sinfonia Elegance SR.
