Germany’s Siegwerk Group has acquired Color Converting, the USA’s second largest supplier of packaging inks, for an undisclosed sum. With combined annual revenues of over €425M, Siegwerk now claims to be Europe’s third largest ink manufacturer – and the global number two for high quality flexible packaging inks.
CCI has production facilities in Des Moines, Iowa, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. Siegwerk has subsidiaries and representatives in over 50 countries, and production facilities and sales offices in the US, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The company has also opened a branch in Golborne, UK.
“Siegwerk UK will mainly serve the printing and packaging industry in the area of cigarette packages,” explains manager Paul Fallon. “From this basis, we intend to develop and offer special products in flexible packaging.”
