US-based adhesive tape producer Shurtape Technologies has acquired tape manufacturer and converter Pro Tapes & Specialties for an undisclosed sum.
Pro Tapes produces premium tape products used in graphic arts, library and school supply, precision die-cutting and fabricating, contract and custom converting, retail and general industrial markets.
The transaction is a result of a nearly two-decade partnership to offer good product quality and customer service.
Established in 1977, Pro Tapes initially catered to the motion picture and theatrical production firms in New York City. It served the Arts & Entertainment industry with its premium tape products.
Currently, the firm offers a full range of converting capabilities and end-to-end manufacturing solutions, servicing customers and markets in countries all over the globe.
Shurtape Technologies CEO Vuk Trivanovic said: “For almost 20 years, Shurtape and Pro Tapes have maintained a unique and highly successful sales and marketing alliance, and this acquisition represents the next logical step in our journey together.

Under the terms of the deal, Pro Tapes will continue to run its North Brunswick, New Jersey, facility as a subsidiary of Shurtape Technologies.
Shurtape said that there would not be any changes to the management or workforce at Pro Tapes or Shurtape, to maintain service, product development, and sales coverage.
