RPC Zeller Plastik Zell has unveiled a new 19mm tube closure for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

The company said it is the first standard push-on flip-top hinge tube closure (HTC) of such a small size.

Part of the Supersoft range, the 19mm tube closure can be used for trial, airline and hotel packs, as well as products such as lip balms, creams and lotions.

The 1.2g closure, which offers both aesthetic and consumer-convenience benefits, can be pushed onto the shoulder of tubes and oriented towards the printing for added decorative possibilities.

The outer dimensions of the new closure are in line with the tube diameter, said the company.

RPC’s new closure features glossy surface finish that enables to create on-shelf appeal, can also be further enhanced through high-end decoration such as hot foiling around the entire cap.’

The new flip-top closure can be fixed with either a 1.5mm or 3mm orifice. The closure can be easily opened and closed by the end-user with one hand.

In addition, the cap remains on the container as it is a flip top closure, which is an advantage over the commonly-used simple screw-closures.

In December 2017, RPC Zeller also launched a new closure for personal care and pharmaceutical applications.

Part of the screw-on Classic range of polypropylene hinge tube closures, the new closure is available with a size of 25mm and matt finish.

Produced by using pharma-grade material, the new 25mm closure serves as an alternative solution to traditional screw-on caps with one-handed opening option.

Suitable for both laminate and plastic tubes, the closure can also be produced with a glossy finish.

With orifice sizes of 1.5mm, 3mm and 5mm, the closure is suitable for products such as creams, gels shampoos and toothpastes.
