Stork Screens has developed a mounted rail system that allows printers to move its RSI compact rotary screen printing module to any position where it is needed within a combination printing configuration.

As well as giving flexibility, the system is said to provide an alternative to extending the press when including the rotary screen unit, and prevent the flexo position from being lost to production. Cassette based, it allows fast interchange of flexo and screen printing technologies.

Jaap Poelman, Stork’s manager – Technology Group, comments: “There are so many positions within a combination press where the screen printing technique is best used, depending on the application. The mounted rail system means the printer can interchange between all these high end rotary screen jobs with great efficiency.”

The RSI module can be integrated into flexo, letterpress, offset or gravure presses.
