Based in Toronto, Ingenious Packaging provides labeling solutions to the customers in the food, beverage, health and beauty, spirits, nutraceutical, distribution, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.

The company has advanced flexographic, digital and offset printing capabilities, and ancillary finishing assets to produce a range of pressure sensitive, cut and stack and in-mold labels, as well as shrink sleeves and banding products.

Ingenious’ pressure sensitive labels can be used for front and back or single label applications.

These labels are suitable for various applications, including promotion, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, household, personal care, beverage and food.

The company’s cut and stack labels are better suitable for branding all kinds of products in bottles, jars and cans. These labels are mostly used on food and beverage products, household products and petrochemical and paint products.

In addition, the company produces shrink sleeve labels, two-ply labels and booklet-type labels.

Resource Label president and CEO Bob Simko said: “Resource Label, with the backing of First Atlantic and TPG Growth, will provide the support to meet both the current and future growth needs of Ingenious’ customers throughout North America, with special focus on our foundation of Canadian customers.

“As an initial sign of the commitment to Ingenious’ employees, customers and capital expansion strategy, I am pleased to announce that we have placed an order today for a new 17” wide Mark Andy P7 flexographic press for the facility.”

Resource Label is a portfolio company of private investment firm First Atlantic Capital and TPG’s middle market and growth equity investment platform TPG Growth.

Resource Label provides pressure sensitive label, shrink sleeve and radio-frequency identification (RFID) / near-field communication (NFC) technology for the packaging industry.

First Atlantic Capital chairman and CEO Roberto Buaron said: “We are pleased to continue to pursue the growth of the Resource Label platform, which includes eleven acquisitions since our initial investment in 2011.”
