US-based protective packaging maker Pregis has expanded its Inspyre product line with the new Inspyre Mailer to help fight water insecurities in communities around the world.

The Inspyre mailer is said to provide an effective, lightweight, and eco-friendly method for shipping non-fragile goods and soft goods like clothing and linens in direct-to-consumer e-commerce applications.

It also offers the clients a packaging option that supports sustainability objectives and leads to positive change as it is made with 30% recycled material.

The firm has automated bagging equipment that can increase throughput by four times that of manual packing applications.

The mailer, which is available in fanfold and roll stock, can be run through the machine to maximise efficiency and reduce labour costs.

Customers have the option of choosing custom designs for the Inspyre mailer to better link their businesses to the programme, said Pregis.

The stock footer on all Inspyre mailers informs consumers about the importance of this cause marketing project with the help of a 1% for the Planet logo, How2Recycle label, consumer-friendly recyclability instructions, and a QR code.

Pregis chief marketing officer Daché Davidson said: “We are thrilled to expand the Inspyre product portfolio and offer brand owners another way to join Pregis in making a positive impact in the world.

“Through our support of Uzima and brand membership with 1% for the Planet, we can do this on a larger scale.”

Davidson added: “The Inspyre mailer clearly communicates the environmental attributes of recycled materials, store drop-off recyclability, and informs consumers that the brand is socially responsible.

“This message helps brand owners build awareness and loyalty through a meaningful consumer experience.”

As a brand member of 1% for the Planet, the firm donates 1% of sales to Uzima, which manufactures and distributes water filters that give those in need access to safe drinking water.

The Inspyre portfolio also includes HC Inspyre, a performance inflatable cushioning solution, and Inspyre Paper, a decorative void fill solution.
