PCMC has announced the closure of new machinery manufacturing at its Plymouth, UK, factory.
Rick Baer, president and ceo of the US based company, states,”The discontinuation of manufacturing will be a phased programme affecting approximately 200 employees and concluding in the second quarter of 2003.PCMC will complete the orders on hand, on schedule.
“Our colleagues in the UK have made a tremendous contribution to the success of our company. However, I am convinced that the actions we are taking will strengthen our global financial performance and allow us to continue to be a strong supplier of converting equipment both now and in the future.”
The Plymouth facility will continue as a sales and customer service operation.
