Pactiv Evergreen has introduced its new Tamper Evident Fry Cartons that provide a fully integrated packaging solution to foodservice operators.
The cartons, designed with portability, safety, and security in mind, are said to be ideal for serving crispy snacks to go.
The patent-pending design of the cartons has a tamper-evident latch that must be torn to access the content present inside.
Pactiv Evergreen said that the foodservice operator and consumer can see if a carton has been tampered with, which will increase food safety and consumer confidence.
Furthermore, the latch will help keep food safe and secure during transport, avoiding unwanted spills.
The cartons are designed with a cross-ventilation system that keeps foods hot, crispy, and delicious.
They can be printable in up to six colours, helping foodservice operators to showcase their brand and message on the cartons, said the company.

Pactiv Evergreen’s Foodservice business unit sales senior director Erik Hoar said: “With the snack daypart on the rise, we recognised the need for packaging that provides an excellent off-premise dining experience.
“With our new Fry Cartons, operators can display hot food ready for grab-and-go consumption. The cartons’ unique shape, size, and reclosable lid make them great for snacking on the go. Serving hot and crispy foods to-go has never been easier.”
The Fry Cartons are made from Sentinel SBS Paperboard, which meets the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified Sourcing Standard.
They are PFAS-free and meet ASTM D6868 for commercial compostability in actively managed municipal or industrial facilities.
