Packsize International, a corrugated material manufacturer and on-demand packaging system provider, has received 2018 Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) green supply chain award.
In so doing, SDCE recognizes Packsize’s role in making sustainability a core part of its supply chain strategy. Packsize is a leading multinational technology provider of packaging supply chain solutions and services that help customers achieve measurable sustainability goals.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive editor John R. Yuva said: “This year’s entries provided examples of innovative approaches and impressive metrics of sustainability programs.”
The 10th-annual awards program recognizes small, mid-size and large enterprises that leveraged green practices and solutions to drive sustainable improvements in their supply chain further.
Packsize CEO Hanko Kiessner said: “This recognition underscores continued commitment to our mission: Smart Packaging for a Healthy Planet.
“Since 2002, Packsize has led a worldwide packaging revolution and today offers a full-spectrum portfolio of On Demand Packaging solutions and services to eliminate the need to buy and store pre-made boxes. By right-sizing the corrugated supply chain, customers are able to address their number one packaging problem—excessive packaging.”
Recent Packsize-sponsored industry research finds eight of ten respondents say right-sizing increases customer satisfaction, and 70 percent say it brings them significant cost savings.
Kiessner added: “As Packsize expands into new industries and markets with innovative packaging solutions that address concerns involving material management, labor, and speed-to-market, we will continue to reduce costly and wasteful use of corrugated through On Demand Packaging adoption.”
