Ron Goddard
Ron Goddard, who died on December 24, 2003, aged 71, was well known throughout the packaging industry. He joined Tate and Lyle in 1952 and worked as an industrial chemist for 18 years during which he developed an interest in packaging. This led him to join Pira’s Packaging division in 1970, where he focused on retail packaging. He left Pira in 1985 for 12 years as a journalist, before retirement in 1997. He leaves Jenny, his wife of 44 years, and two sons.
