At Anuga FoodTec 2003, in Cologne, next month SIG Combibloc will launch individually shaped aseptic cartons that are claimed to be a “world’s first”.
This Combishape system is said to allow for package shapes which have been “inconceivable so far – saying goodbye to the rectangular shape of the carton and giving beverage producers the chance to make their products stand out at the point of sale.” The company boasts: “Oval or moon shaped, triangular, quadrangular, pentagonal or octagonal – everything is possible with Combishape, giving products packaged in aseptic cartons their own individual shape – tailored to the brand identity.
