Novvia Group, a provider of packaging solutions and customised services, has acquired Andicor Container Distribution for an undisclosed amount.
Andicor Container Distribution is a business division of Andicor Specialty Chemicals, a supplier of plastic, tin, and steel products in Canada.
With more than two decades of experience, the company provides cans, pails, drums, and other rigid packaging products to various end markets across North America.
As part of the transaction, Andicor Container Distribution will be re-named as Novvia Group Canada.
Former Andicor Specialty Chemicals president Chris Machin will be appointed as president of Novvia Group Canada and will lead the new business.
Andicor Specialty Chemicals CEO Steve Waters said: “Andicor Container Distribution is excited to partner with Novvia Group to help fuel the division’s next phase of growth.
“We believe the resources and capabilities of the broader Novvia organization will allow Andicor Container Distribution to better serve its existing and future customers and drive expansion in the Canadian market.”
Novvia is a group of regional packing companies backed by Kelso & Co. (Kelso).
The company provides high-quality packaging solutions and customised services to domestic and international customers across myriad industries.
Its family of companies include Inmark, C.L. Smith, Silver Spur, Container Supply, Fox Valley, Acepac Shanghai, Rhino, and Andicor Container Distribution.

Last month, Novvia Group acquired Rhino Container, a distributor of plastic, metal, corrugated, and glass packaging products, for an undisclosed sum.
